Why I Love Real Estate...
As an energetic and dedicated Real Estate Sales Agent, who is blessed with a “Spirit of Service” kind of heart... I truly love helping people buy and/or sell their homes for their best overall outcome.
Over the years I have developed a personal system for both Selling and Buying a Home that helps keep the process as smooth, fun, enjoyable and as equitable as possible; for all parties involved in any transaction I negotiate or handle. I genuinely seek to have a Win-Win-Win outcome every time!!
And with over 20 years as a Customer-Facing
Application/Technical Support, I have often kept Real Estate as my “side job”.
Why, you may ask?
Because I understand that a owning a Home is a Dream for
many, an Investment Opportunity for some and simply a “roof over my head” to others.
Some may be “just passing through” but prefer to buy rather than rent, some are
transplanting and looking to establish roots and bloom, while others may be relinquishing
their Family Lineage and others are just beginning theirs. And I feel honored
to be able to facilitate that.
To be “the Go Between”… that place of peace when your heart feels
like it’s about to break or the voice of reason when it wants to leap out of
your chest with joy at the thought of moving in but it’s overpriced or needs a
lot of work!! To be the Intermediary when one or both sides are trying to reach
a fair agreement or just have so many things going on outside of the
transaction that they need someone to handle things and keep them updated and focused
as needed.
So for me, regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, I
sincerely want to understand what your Best Case Scenario is, so that I may use
all of my professional experience in both Real Estate and over 20 years in
Customer Service via Technical Support to help bring that to fruition!
And also because I have “worked” with a few Agents… who don’t
share that foundational understanding and sometimes have put their own interests
a little higher than their Customers… or see it as an income opportunity or a transaction
rather than a potentially life altering decision.
I like to “be the change I wish to see” in the Real Estate
World as well! So I apply many of the skills and processes I have learned in the
IT/Support field, including research, negotiations, problem resolution, both creative and critical thinking skills to help
not just Investors, Sellers, “For Sale By Owners” (Yes, I happily work with
them too!! ), First Time Home Buyers, Repeat Buyers and anyone in between!!
I even use my keen intuition from time-to-time as well! And funny
enough, I can tell you, it happens quite often, that following my Intuition has
brought more connections and contracts to agreement, than all the technical and
professional training ever has!
Buyers
Working with Buyers is so much fun! I generally like to
start by getting to know them a bit and digging deeper to find out the most
important home features they want are and why those things are important. Then make
a Priority List and understand how much “renovation flexibility” they have. So
that while I am looking through all the possibilities, I keep those things in
mind.
I also prefer to understand the future and also financial
plans of my Buyers, because your Mortgage and the Broker you choose, makes a
difference. The overall numbers really do factor into the Home Purchase Plan,
it’s not always just a “what’s the most I/we can afford?” scenario and quite
often it’s a bit like a sliding equalizer board where minor adjustments can
make the difference in finding that Happy-Medium and being able to buy that
Perfect-For-You Home!
Sellers
I use a similar approach when I am working with Sellers, applying
the same theory of the sliding equalizer of motivating needs, facts and figures,
because often times, these truths greatly affect the best overall outcome for
those Sellers, depending upon their specific needs. So I work to understand all
of the possibilities and reasons why, and then set about developing a Marketing
Strategy that addresses these, while also ensuring that the Sellers have clear expectations
(with options) long before we get to the Negotiation Stage, because it truly
can make or break a Sale or greatly affect their necessary or desired Net Total.
For Sale By Owners or FSBO's
"FizBo’s" as we lovingly call
them, come in a wide variety of motivating factors and are their own special
category for several reasons. Most often because what I call “Necessary Net
Gain” is strongest motivating factor and I completely understand this!
So for me, I see For Sale By Owners as another area where I
get to “give back” or “pay it forward” and I love it!
I have worked with FSBO’s throughout my Real Estate career
and I understand them quite well because at an in-between licensure point in my
life I was my own FBSO, using all the experience from my previous years selling
real estate to promote, market and sell my own home. Having to refuse Low Ball Offers,
ask agents to defend their “Comps” and even correct inaccurate or poorly written
Contracts for actual licensed Agents, holding my own Open Houses and even leaving
my home on rainy days!!
It was this experience that reminded me just how much I LOVE
working in Real Estate and what pushed me renew my license in 2017 because at

Helping Others
I am so honored and feel sincerely blessed when my Past Customers, Friends, Acquaintances, Peers and Colleagues recommend me to their Loved Ones knowing and trusting that I will use all of my vastly varied skillset to bring about the best outcome for whatever the specific situation calls for.
If I may be of service to you or someone you know I hope you
would happily and confidently refer me to them or them to me!
